Our half day spent with Spencer was the most fun thing we did in Jackson. He is a wealth of knowledge about the area and fly fishing in general. He made sure all of us, experienced or not, had fun and got the hang of fly fishing. We each caught a few fish and had a blast. Spencer is one of the best guides I've worked with and was especially attuned to teaching my siblings aged 11 and 13 who had never been before. We couldn't have asked for a better time.

Our half day spent with Spencer was the most fun thing we did in Jackson. He is a wealth of knowledge about the area and fly fishing in general. He made sure all of us, experienced or not, had fun and got the hang of fly fishing. We each caught a few fish and had a blast. Spencer is one of the best guides I've worked with and was especially attuned to teaching my siblings aged 11 and 13 who had never been before. We couldn't have asked for a better time.

“Fantastic Fly Fishing”

Jackson Hole Fly Fishing School was the best!! It was a great way to begin our vacation. Spencer Morton introduced us to fly fishing with colorful explanations concerning lures, water temp., and water conditions. The day's weather was cool for us flatlanders but he kept us on task and quickly moved us to handling the fishing rods. Spencer was patient and encouraging . We had never tried the sport, but after his instruction, we felt confident we would succeed. Spencer is the best!

“Great Intro to Fly Fishing”

As a long time salt water fisherman, but having no prior experience fly fishing, I was looking for a way to get introduced to the sport. With its own unique tackle & terminology, it was extremely intimidating. This experience was perfect for my family, including my wife & 3 boys. We did the half day float trip and it included the perfect amount of basic background introduction & teaching, including the basics of fly casting and entomology...Spencer was wonderful with our boys throughout the entire float trip. I would highly recommend this school for beginners and families who are visiting the Jackson Hole area & want to get introduced to the sport of fly fishing.

Spencer and his guide Caleb took out my wife, parents, and me on our first ever fly fishing trip down the Snake River. It was an awesome day that we will remember for a long time. As the other reviewers have said, his enthusiasm, attention to detail (5+ different types of fruit at lunch on the river, preserved insects for demonstration, to give just a couple of examples), and execution were perfect. Additionally, Caleb did an awesome job. Don't hesitate and go with these guys!
